**This MONTH we will be using COLORED PENCIL as our focus medium and will have the pleasure of birds as our subject matter! We will be “seeing red” all month and will be drawing/painting birds which have a splash of red upon them! We will be drawing a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, a Red-bellied Woodpecker, a Common Rosefinch, and a Vermillion Flycatcher! I will be demonstrating several techniques specific to colored pencil such as color matching, layering, blending, and adding texture. Bird lovers unite!!**

This is a monthly subscription to my ongoing ONLINE art classes where each month we will choose a focal subject and will combine it with a particular media such as soft pastels, colored pencil, or acrylic paint. We will learn how to use a wide variety of substrates and solvents to help bring our subjects to life! In addition, I email the students a curated list of my personal photos references for the week’s subject/s as well as an itemized list of the materials I plan to use/demo for the lesson. Classes take place via Zoom platform and are emailed Zoom link before class.
